Overview
UWI ONE is a mobile application that allows users to receive, store, and present digital credentials securely on their device. Users retain control over their credentials and can share them with third parties when needed.
Key Features
The app provides the following features:
- Receiving credentials via QR codes or links
- Viewing and managing stored credentials
- Linking with organizations to receive credential requests and credentials more easily
- Viewing activity history
- Deleting credentials and related data
Data Handling
Credentials and related data are stored on the user's device. The app provider does not collect or store credentials and related data for its own purposes. In certain cases, data may be processed on behalf of credential issuers, verifiers, or related organizations in connection with related services.
Biometric Data
The app does not collect or store users' biometric information. Biometric authentication features (such as Face ID or fingerprint authentication) are used solely for device-level authentication managed by the device operating system.
Data Flow
Credentials are transmitted to the user's device from the issuer. Credentials are only shared with third parties upon explicit user action.
Data Retention
Credentials remain on the user's device until deleted by the user or until the app is uninstalled from the device. Once deleted or the app is uninstalled, credentials cannot be recovered through the app.
Security
The app relies on device-level authentication (biometric or PIN). Users may be prompted to re-authenticate after inactivity. Data in transit is protected using industry-standard encryption methods.
User Control
Users can control receiving, sharing, rejecting, and deleting credentials through the app. Sharing only occurs through explicit user actions.
Age Requirement
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above. Children under 13 are not permitted to use this application.
Important Notes
Do not open unknown QR codes or links. Always verify recipients before sharing credentials. It is recommended to enable device security features.
Disclaimer
The content and validity of credentials depend on the issuing organization. The app provider is not responsible for how shared data is used by third parties.
