UWI ONE

The UWI ONE app (the “App”) allows you to receive, store, and, as needed, present and share digital credentials (such as certificates) on your own smartphone. The App is intended to enable you to securely manage and store these credentials yourself.

The App provides the following features:

• Receiving credentials from credential issuers (the organizations that issue the relevant credentials; “Issuers”) via QR codes or links.
• Viewing and reviewing credentials.
• Sharing credentials with credential verifiers (organizations that need to verify the relevant credentials; “Verifiers”) via QR codes, links, or proximity communication.
• Integration with third parties, including Issuers and Verifiers, to facilitate the receipt of credentials and requests relating to those credentials.
• Viewing activity history, including the receipt and sharing of credentials.
• Deleting credentials and related data.
• Any other features related to the foregoing.

Credentials and related data are stored on your smartphone. We do not collect or store credentials or related data for our own purposes. However, in connection with providing related services to Issuers, Verifiers, or other parties, we may process data on their behalf.

If requested by an Issuer or Verifier, the App may use biometric information to authenticate your identity through features such as facial recognition (the “Biometric Authentication Features”). These features are provided using technology from third-party service providers with whom we partner (the “Authentication Service Providers”).

If you use the Biometric Authentication Features, your biometric information may be collected and processed in connection with the identity authentication requested by the relevant Issuer or Verifier. We process such information in connection with providing services to the relevant Issuer or Verifier. You may use these features only if you meet the requirements specified by us and agree to any applicable requirements or other terms established by the Authentication Service Providers.

Credentials are transmitted from Issuers to your device. Credentials are transmitted to Verifiers only when you explicitly initiate a sharing action.

Credentials remain stored on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App from your device in accordance with the procedures specified by us.

Once deleted, credentials cannot currently be restored through the App. Although we plan to introduce a credential restoration feature in a future version, its release timing and details have not yet been determined, and we do not guarantee that this feature will be made available.

The App protects access using your device’s authentication features, such as biometric authentication or a PIN. You will also be required to re-authenticate after a set period of inactivity. Data in transit is protected using industry-standard encryption technology.

You can manage the receipt, sharing, rejection, and deletion of credentials within the App. Information is shared only through your explicit action.

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. Individuals under the age of 13 may not use the App, regardless of whether they have the permission or consent of their parent or other legal representative.

If applicable law establishes a minimum age above 13 below which a person may not use the App, consent to the processing of their own personal data, or enter into an agreement to use the App, even with the permission or consent of their parent or other legal representative, individuals under such minimum age may not use the App.

Individuals under the age of 18 (or any higher age of majority required by applicable law) may use the App only if they have obtained verifiable consent from their parent or other legal representative.

Do not scan QR codes or open links if their source is unknown or you do not understand their content. They may direct you to fraudulent websites where you could be tricked into disclosing your credentials.

When presenting or sharing credentials with third parties, carefully check both the information to be shared and the intended recipient. Once information has been shared, it may not be possible to retract it.

We also recommend that you implement appropriate security measures, such as enabling your device’s authentication settings, when using the App.

The content and validity of credentials are determined by their respective Issuers, and we do not guarantee either.

Except as provided in the UWI ONE Terms of Service, we are not liable for how recipients of information you share, Verifiers, or other third parties use that information, or for the consequences of such use.
